I’d like to live in a world where chips & queso become a food group and warm brownies move to the eat whenever category. And while I’m dreaming, I’d like for every item on my to-do list to feature a checkmark of completion. And for the laundry baskets to be empty. And for dishwashers to unload themselves.
I do believe there will be a day when all is made right on a much grander scale than food preferences, which fuels my desire to live open-handed with my Creator and keep my eyes wide open to see Him working and moving.
Life can be overwhelming. The daily demands, duties, and decisions pile up, leaving stacks of clutter not only on my counter, yet also across the surface of my heart. The mess of the mundane often becomes the focal point, clouding my vision from seeing the beauty of the moments God gives. It’s in this state of cluttered chaos my heart needs renewal. Maybe your heart does too?
I hope to inspire renewal in your heart
by helping you clear the clutter of your soul
so that you can enjoy the beauty of dwelling daily with your Creator.
It’s what I want for myself, and it’s why I write these words for you. May we long for Christ’s presence and truth to fill us (infinitely more than tex-mex and chocolate).
And here’s a bit more about me . . .
I’ve been writing most of my life. In journals, in school English classes, as editor of my high school yearbook, and occasional blog posts. Writing is a creative outlet where I process facets of my faith. I’m excited to follow God’s nudge to offer my words to others in creative ways. Be sure to sign up for my inbox inspiration so you don’t miss out on upcoming projects.
I’ve worked in the interior design business for 20 years – long enough to see trends come and go and some come back again, whether we want them to or not. I love helping people create a place they love coming home to. Read more about my design business here.
I’m wife to Nate and mom to four precious kiddos. We live in the Austin area where we take annual pictures in fields of bluebonnets. Our twin boys are ten, our third son is seven, and our daughter is four. The path God took us on to become parents, have twins, endure through NICU stays, and experience the miraculous blessing of adoption have profoundly shaped me into who I am today. And the adventure continues.
I’m glad you’re here. I’ve furnished this little home on the internet with touches of inspiration to renew your relationship with Jesus. He loves you, offers grace to you in this moment, and he has a hope-filled plan for your life. Stay a while as I strive to remind us both to dwell on these promises.
