This is What I Know

There are many things I don’t know. Things too lofty for me to understand. But there are things I know deep within me. These truths make their way to the surface through my writing.

Isn’t it what we all need to repeat in the face of fear?

Like Joseph, we can’t see the vast tapestry of God’s activity and how He is weaving the threads of our circumstances in an unimaginable design.

Years later, I still love hearing “Little Town” in all its synthesized glory; the melody continues to wash my heart with truth and wonder of that Holy Night.

Something about the morning and the moment beckoned me to look beyond my rote thankfuls.

In broadway-style chorus, the trolls harmonize a truth central to our faith: she/he is a bit of a fixer-upper.

Nature nods to heavenly truths.

Sometimes God uses socks to remind me of the good story he is writing.

The scriptures raise my gaze to the Giver, not solely the gifts.

Notes of our lives play his eternal rhythm of grace.

Renewing your heart is a worthy endeavor because it is the place,  the inner sanctuary, where you live with God.

My aspiration in writing is to furnish a space where your soul connects with your Creator. 

We serve a God who cannot be contained within the humanness of our minds.

I believe that one day, God will come into the waiting room of this world and roll out renewal, making all things right.

After a decade on the wild ride of motherhood, this is what I know.

These are pleasures afforded to me at the great cost of others.
